Set Up Guide
This is a brief guide to setting up your Duplex Combo Speed and Cadence sensor with your chosen cycling app or ANT+ device.
iOS
The Speed and Cadence sensor is designed to be used on iPhones 4s and newer, iPad 3rd generation or newer, iPad Air and iPod 5th Gen. iOS devices will require an ANT+ adapter to work with the ANT+ Speed and Cadence sensor.
Android
The Speed and Cadence sensor is also designed to be used on Android devices with Bluetooth 4.0 and ANT+. Android devices will require third party apps to use ANT+ to work with the ANT+ Speed and Cadence sensor.
ANT+
The Speed and Cadence sensor is also designed to be used on all compatible ANT+ devices, such as ANT+ enabled Garmin, Cateye, Sigma and other bike computers.
How to install the Combo Speed & Cadence sensor on your bike

Position the Speed and Cadence Sensor on top of the frame on the left side of the bike so that it is inline with the end of crank arm.

Using the cable ties provide securely attach the Speed and Cadence Sensor to the frame so that it is sitting vertically.

Attach the magnets to the wheel spoke and inside left crank arm using the cable ties provided.

(Hint) You can use strong double sided tape to attach the magnet to the inside crank arm if you don't want to use cable ties

When attaching the magnets make sure that the speed magnet on the wheel spoke is in line with the thin vertical sensor and that the cadence magnet on the crank arm is inline with the green LED on the sensor case.

The green LED light will flash when it detects cadence for and is now ready to pair to your Smart phone or bike computer.
Now your Cadence sensor is ready to be paired with your smart phone or ANT+ device.
How to pair the sensor to a fitness app

Download your chosen fitness app from the list below

Open/Install the app on your Smart phon/device

Ensure that you have switched on Bluetooth or ANT+ on your smart phone. Or insert the ANT+ adapter into the phone. For desktop computers please ensure you have inserted the ANT+ USB adapter.

Activate your Speed and Cadence sensor by spinning the crank arm on your bike once you have attached the sensor to your bike. A green LED light will flash when cadence is picked up. If this doesn't happen press the button next to the LED.

On most cycling apps look for 'add new sensor' or 'find sensors'

When your Speed and Cadence sensor appears on the list, select the sensor and follow your app instructions to save the sensor and apply to exercise profile if necessary.

When your Speed Cadence sensor has paired to your app you are good to go and cycle. There is no need to repeat the pairing process to your app, as long as Bluetooth or ANT+ is enabled and your cycling app is opened the sensors will automatically pair when the pedals are rotated.
How to pair the sensor to an ANT+ device

Activate your Speed and Cadence sensor by spinning the crank arm on your bike once you have attached the sensor to your bike. A green LED light will flash when cadence is picked up. If this doesn't happen press the button next to the LED.

Follow the pairing instructions on your ANT+ device and search for Cadence sensor

Some ANT+ will automatically pair to a sensor when it is activated and display an ANT+ ID code.

When your ANT+ device shows that your Cadence sensor has paired and displays an ID code, your Cadence sensor is now paired. There is no need to repair your Cadence sensor to your ANT+ device as it will automatically pair when the sensor is activated.
Your good to go
Once you have finished pairing your Cardiosport Speed and Cadence sensor to your chosen fitness app, or ANT+ device. your are good to go!
Changing the sensor battery
If you need to replace the battery simply follow these easy steps.

Using a coin insert the coind edge into the groove in the centre of the battery door. Rotate the battery door following the arrows and OPEN and CLOSED marks untill the door can be removed

Remove the dead CR2032 battery and replace with a new battery with the writing on the top of battery facing up.

Re-attach the battery door and rotate until the door is firmly shut
Troubleshooting FAQ
Why won't my Speed and Cadence sensor pair to my phone?

To ensure that your Speed and Cadence sensor pairs directly to the app you have downloaded please ensure you have Bluetooth switched on on your device and your have inserted the ANT+ adapter before attempting to pair.
Do I need to pair to my phone first?

No, you do not need to pair the Speed and Cadence sensor to your phone first, because the sensor uses ANT+ it is only required to pair to the app on your phone if using an ANT+ adapter.
I am struggling to get an RPM reading from the Speed and Cadence sensor and it doesn't show up under the list of sensors?

This can be caused by the sensor not being attached securely to your left crank arm. When attaching to sensor to the left side of your bike frame behind the crank, please ensure that the magnets attached to the wheel and crank arm are inline with the sensor.
Can I pair my Speed and Cadence sensor with another phone or app or ANT+ device?

Yes your Speed and Cadence sensor can be paired with more than one phone/apps. If you are switching between devices or apps then you can still use your sensor for different devices. Simply pair your Speed and Cadence sensor in the same way as before and you now have a Speed and Cadence sensor for multiple devices.
Can I pair my Speed and Cadence sensor to my phone app and ANT+ device at the same time?

Yes your Speed sensor is designed to work simultaneously using Bluetooth Smart to send data to your phone app and using ANT+ to send data to your bike computer or similar ANT+ device.
Can I pair my Speed and Cadence sensor with multiple apps and phones at once?

Unfortunately not, once your sensor is paired to the app on your phone it cannot be paired to another app while in use.
